    Would you like to establish a Nighttime Skincare Routine but don't know where to start and which products are right for you? I have put together some valuable tips for you depending on your type.

    Some time ago, the concept of the 10-step routine reached us from Korea. For many of us, the application of a care routine in 10 steps is unfamiliar and may even be overwhelming at first. So not to burden yourself and start by basic CTM routine.

    After some time you can slowly integrate new skin care products. This will allow your face to slowly get used to the new products. Many of us are switching from Western beauty products to milder, Korean products. Often we don't know where to start. With this article, I want to help you to find the right products for your individual care routine.


Skincare Routine

1. DETERMINATION OF YOUR SKIN TYPE:

    Before we start with the routine and the product recommendations, it is important that you know your type. 

  1. If your face often feels tight and looks dull, dull, or itchy, you have dry  type.
  2. If your face looks shiny or oily, and you're prone to blackheads, pimples, or other blemishes, you likely have oily type.
  3. If your T-zone (chin, nose and forehead)is oily or shiny as compared to rest of your face, then you have so-called combination type. Cheeks are bit dry then rest of the face
  4. If your face (easily responds to) reacts to external influences with redness, severe itching or swelling, then you are suffering from sensitive type.
  5.  You have a normal type if you are not prone to blemishes and only under certain  environmental influences, e.g. B. prone to dryness.

    Once you've determined your type, move into next step that is incorporating customized skincare products. Start with the CTM routine and three most important  products: 

1.     Cleanser

2.    Toner or essence 

3.     Moisturizer 

SKINCARE PRODUCTS

 

DRY SKIN:

    Dry skin is an alarm that calls for extra hydration and replenishments as it might result in moisture loss, therefore ruining complexion of the face. Personal moisturizing CTM (cleansing, toning, moisturizing) regimen adjusted to dry skin type will be enough to get your skin back to its full hydration, to stop dryness and return to its radiant state. 1.  Cleansing:

                        Opt for a cleanser which is zero-oil and specially developed for oily skin or acne skin type. Seek out facial cleansing products that have salicylic acid and tea tree oil as key ingredients. These ingredients help in controlling excess oil and minimizing the risk of breakouts.

            Drenching your face with lukewarm water. Transfer a small portion of it on to your knuckles and later, circulate it between palms. Software then leads you through the same steps. First, apply the cleanser on your face while gently massaging with circular motions, paying attention to parts likely to be oily, like the forehead, nose, and chin (T-zone). Rinse your face with warm water and let it dry.

2. Toning:

    Opt for an alcohol-free toner designed to balance the skin's pH levels, tighten pores, and control oil production without stripping the skin of its natural moisture. Look for ingredients like witch hazel or niacinamide, which help to refine pores and control shine.

    Pour a small amount of toner onto a cotton pad or into the palms of your hands. And apply all over your face. Allow the toner to absorb into the skin before proceeding to the next step.

3. Moisturizing:

              Choose a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer that hydrates the skin without adding excess oil or shine. Go for non-comedogenic formulas so that your face break out due to clogged pores.

            Dispense a pea-sized amount of moisturizer onto your fingertips. Gently massage the moisturizer onto your face and neck using upward, circular motions. Focus on areas that tend to get dry, such as the cheeks, while avoiding overly oily areas like the T-zone.

OILY ACNE PRONE SKIN


 COMBINATION SKIN

1. Cleansing:

    Begin your CTM routine with a gentle cleanser designed to remove excess oil and impurities without stripping the skin's natural moisture. Look for a foaming or gel-based cleanser with ingredients like salicylic acid or glycolic acid to help control oil production and exfoliate dead skin cells.

        Wet your face with lukewarm water. Dispense a small amount of cleanser into your palms and lather it up. Gently massage the cleanser onto your face in circular motions, paying extra attention to the T-zone. Then wash off with water and dry your face with towel.

 2: Toning:

    Choose a toner specifically formulated for combination skin to help balance oil production and tighten pores. Look for ingredients like witch hazel or niacinamide, which have astringent properties to help control excess oil and minimize the appearance of pores.

Onto a cotton pad, Take a small amount of toner and apply on the face. Let it completely sink to your skin

 3: Moisturizing:

    Moisturizing is crucial for combination skin to hydrate dry areas and prevent them from overproducing oil, while also providing lightweight hydration to oily areas. Opt for a non-comedogenic moisturizer that is oil-free and won't clog pores.

    Take a pea sized amount of moisturizer on your hand Gently massage the moisturizer into your skin using upward strokes, focusing on dry areas like the cheeks and avoiding oily areas like the T-zone.

 SENSITIVE SKIN TYPE:

    With a gentle and soothing CTM routine tailored specifically for sensitive skin, you can nurture and protect your complexion without causing irritation or discomfort. By using mild, fragrance-free products with calming ingredients, you can maintain a healthy and balanced complexion that looks and feels its best. Patch test first applying any new product.

    Start your CTM routine with a gentle cleanser specifically formulated for sensitive skin. Look for a fragrance-free, soap-free formula with soothing ingredients like aloe vera or chamomile to cleanse without stripping the skin's natural moisture barrier.

    Wet your face with lukewarm water. Dispense a small amount of cleanser into your palms and lather it up. Gently massage the cleanser onto your face in circular motions, paying extra attention to the T-zone. Use lukewarm water to rinse your face.

2: Toning:

    Choose a alcohol-free toner designed to calm and soothe sensitive skin while restoring its natural pH balance. Look for ingredients like rose water or cucumber extract, which have anti-inflammatory properties to reduce redness and irritation.

On a cotton pad, take a small amount and apply all over your face. Let it completely absorb

3: Moisturizing:

    Moisturizing is crucial for sensitive skin to replenish moisture and strengthen the skin barrier. Choose a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer with hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid or ceramides to soothe and protect sensitive skin without causing irritation.

Take a pea size  amount .Gently massage the moisturizer into your skin using upward strokes, focusing on dry areas like the cheeks and avoiding oily areas like the T-zone.

ROUTINE FOR NORMAL TYPE?

    Of course, a normal type is best and many of us would give some for it. If you are in a fortunate position and have a normal type, then you can put together your personal routine from the suggested products. Pay attention to your current "concerns", i.e. the current needs of your face. Maybe your facial skin is more prone to dryness in winter? Maybe you prefer a little easier maintenance in summer?

WHAT ARE THE NEXT STEPS?

DOUBLE CLEANSING

    After the daily 3-step regime has become your routine, you can slowly add more products. The slow increase has proven itself in order not to overwhelm the face with the 10-step routine.

Double-cleanse

 To get a grip on it, double-cleanse, add a scrub and serum to your routine. But maybe you are also quite satisfied with the 3 steps? There is no “one-fits-all” solution for the right routine because our type of is far too different. Listen to your kind and see which products are good for it.
